Cultural Relevancy
In order to effectively understand and help to transform lives and communities, we must move beyond just tolerance or celebration of our diversity. Our approaches should be enlivened by a dynamic connection to the culture of the community, particularly as it relates to race, ethnicity, language, gender, socio-economic class and religion. Our approaches and interventions must be relevant. We teach that Cultural Relevancy is critical to understanding and connecting with those that we serve.
